As we have been a bit unorganised as far as days are concerned we thought - man we have to get Ashwin some birthday cake, sure you can buy a cake online but at a crazy price & they are all so ugly as well. I was looking for a yummy looking cake just like the cakes we find on Lygon St.As I couldn't find any decent cake shops in the area I found this at the Asian supermarket. Angel Cake - a product of Malaysia. It is not just one cake but 7 individually packaged morsels full of sugar, enough to make you hyper for a while. Anyway this was the cake for the moment - my plan was to make a cake & have friends & family over to our place for a birthday party in Melbourne. Oh well the plan was foiled & it was just Mum & Dad at the party with a cake that wasn't very cool at all! Hopefully once the rest of our kitchen stuff comes - maybe next week (fingers crossed!!) I can bake Ashwin a cake & decorate it as well. As u can see from the pic Ashwin wasn't too phased, he seemed very excited at the prospect of the crinkly sounding packaging!
